How Do I Care for My Leather?

Our leather is designed to be treated rough—used and abused—its true beauty comes out as it ages and develops a rich patina. Don’t worry about tossing your bag in the trunk or on the floor; it only gets better with use.

If you'd like to be proactive in the aging process, use leather lotion and protectors. Clean your leather with a soft, damp cloth and apply a leather conditioner periodically to keep it in top condition.

Is Your Leather Waterproof?

Our leather is naturally water-resistant, but it is not fully waterproof. While it can withstand light moisture or rain, we recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to water. If your leather gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally and apply a leather conditioner to restore its natural oils.

Full grain leather backpack - So far so good

I have only used the backpack on this business trip the first time - the leather quality seems very good, thick. Numerous zipper pockets to choose from (love love that feature) for pen, and the back of the backpack, there are two zipper pockets that fit travelling document (secure since it is on my back). I hope this bag endure my travelling because I would like to support Hides (Canadian brand) and maybe buy the cross body tote or belt bag in the future. So far, I love the quality and the storage. The water bottle section fits my hydroflask bottle so well. I bought it on sale and I am not sure if I would shell out that much. The sale made it justifiable to try out this brand

My other comments for Hides: please make the tag (for business card) just a bit bigger as it is difficult to squeeze typical business card

Favorite backpack

I shopped online for hours for the perfect backpack. This one is big enough for my mac (I need 17 inches, 16.5 is too short as I learned from my last bag). I love the shiny black leather, laptop pocket padding, the trolley strap, the key clip, security pocket, organizing pockets, and side pockets. They thought of everything. The leather and zippers are great quality and I haven’t had any zipper problems. I’m 5’3” and it’s not too big (pic attached for reference). I also like that it’s Canadian and not made in China.
