Ted Leather Jacket

Let me first of all commend HIDES for their excellent customer service! I first dealt with them earlier in 2023 when I ordered a backpack that turned out to excellently made, but not quite what I needed. As I live close enough to their physical location, it was considerably less expensive to return the item in person rather than mailing it. I was very impressed at how professionally that was handled, and in fact my return of payment was processed before I got home.
At that time I looked at this jacket, but there was none in stock that was my size, so I left it and thought I would perhaps think about it some more. When HIDES' email offering a further 30% off the already discounted price for Thanksgiving arrived it was too good to miss. I ordered the jacket immediately (but right before a long weekend) thus it was about a week before it was shipped, but arrived the day after.
Having now had the chance to inspect it in detail, and wear it a few times, I am even more impressed with the quality of leather and workmanship then when I first looked at it. The dye on the various pieces of hide making up the jacket is very closely matched, and looks to be "deeper" than that on a well-worn jacket from another manufacturer that is showing signs of wear (on that old jacket the dye appears to be much more "surface" rather than penetrating). The lining is very well fitted, and the various interior pockets well placed and practical - the cell phone sized pocket is particularly appreciated. And the zippers are solid, obviously high quality, and appear to be solid brass.
Altogether everything I had hoped for an more. I look forward to many happy years with this jacket.
